  • Twin Lake, MI

    Founded in 1966, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp is a summer school of the arts located on a 1,600-acre campus in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest, offering fine arts education for all ages.

    Each summer, the principal camp program serves thousands of elementary, junior high, and high school students with diverse programs in music, art, dance, and drama while offering hundreds of performances during its Summer Arts Festival.

    The Brevard Music Center, a summer institute and festival, teaches gifted young musicians to prepare and perform great musical works at a high artistic level. Brevard Music Center stands as one of this country’s premier summer training programs and festivals. Participants ages 14 through 29, come to the Music Center every summer to study with a distinguished faculty of over 80 artists from the nation’s leading orchestras, colleges, and conservatories. Brevard’s summer activities vary in length from 5 days to 6 weeks depending on the program. Courses of study include orchestral, jazz, voice, piano, composition, and more.

    The Summer Music Institute at the CMU School of Music will present two distinct sessions: one dedicated to individual instrumental instruction and another focused on choral and orchestral pursuits. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in five days of immersive musical exploration, guided by our esteemed ensemble directors, Dr. Keith Dodson, who serves as the Director of Orchestral Studies, and Dr. Amon Eady, the Director of Choral Activities. This session promises an enriching experience that fosters the collaborative spirit of performing at a collegiate level, allowing students to connect with peers from diverse performance backgrounds and share their passion for music.

    Since 1999, the Credo Festival has brought the leaders of the classical music world together with talented string students to flourish in a focused and generous community based on the words “Develop, Acknowledge, and Respond.” Credo’s unique amalgam of high-level music making, personal mentorship, and community outreach has made the Credo Festival one of America’s most beloved summer destinations for talented young string players ages 13-23.

    The ESME String Camp offers accessible and interactive programs designed by a diverse, world class faculty that includes principal musicians from around the United States. Students participate in private lessons with faculty, chamber music and orchestra coachings, workshops, masterclasses and concerts.

    The Grand Rapids Chamber Music Camp (GRCMC) is a week-long musical immersion designed for young students ages 8-18 studying violin, viola, cello, bass & piano, who want to grow, collaborate, and perform at a higher level.

    Interlochen Arts Camp is the summer music camp for young musicians in grades 3-12, with programs in a variety of genres, instruments, and skill levels. Depending on age, we have one-, two-, three-, four-, and six-week program options that will challenge and inspire you to reach your potential. Students study with professional musicians, perform in exceptional ensembles, and grow as artists and individuals.

    The Meadowmount School of Music is a renowned seven-week summer program for violinists, violists, and cellists, ages 10 to 30, from around the world.     MPulse is a residential performing arts summer program designed for high school students who have interest in pursuing their area of study in a higher education setting. Welcoming students from around the globe, MPulse is a transformative experience for young artists that launches them into the college audition process with a newfound confidence, sharpened skills, and heightened passion for the arts. MPulse participants study with our world-renowned faculty and guest teaching artists at the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance in our state-of-the-art facilities. Programs range from one to four weeks in duration with room and board provided.
